Product Details
The only manual specifically designed for the stone fabricator. Packed full of necessary information to become a successfull fabricator. Every stone fabricator should be familiar with the basic geology of stone. There are many reasons why this is important. Granite and marble for example differ greatly in their hardness. A harder matrial such as granite may require harder abrasives for refinishing. Certain limestones contain very sharp minerals that can quickly damage a saw blade or set of diamond abrasives. The fabricator needs to know which stones these are. This manual also explains the basics for all the steps in successful fabrication.
About the author, Keith Graves. Keith started as a stone fabricator in 1983 while he was attending college. Even though he has long since moved into management he continues to experiment with new equipment and new methods of fabrication while analyzing the cost. He wrote his first article on stone fabrication in 1993 and started participating in educational seminars in 1996. By 1997 he had written one of the first known stone fabrication manuals for the United States and began to actively conduct fabrication seminars for NTC.
