The Hydronics Design Studio - Professional Version is windows-based software that assists in analyzing the thermal and hydraulic performance of hydronic heating systems. The software consists of twelve modules for tasks such as heating load analysis, series baseboard circuit analysis, piping heat loss estimating, expansion tank sizing, radiant circuit analysis, fuel cost comparisons, injection mixing calculations, and buffer tank sizing. Several modules access extensive internal databases of current hydronic components such as, piping, circulators, baseboard, fluids, and valves. Sophisticated engineering algorithms are exercised through a simple graphical user interface.
The HydroniCAD Software is specifically created for those who need to produce professional quality drawings for new system installation or to document existing systems. It allows those with no previous computer drawing experience to quickly snap together components and piping lines to build a complete piping schematic. HydroniCAD can also be used for general computer aided drawing. It has a full set of drawing tools such as lines, rectangles, circles, and polygons. It also provides a wide range of color and pattern control for shapes and lines. It is also a “stand-alone” software package. It doesn’t require Visio, AutoCAD, or any other software package to function.
